The last few sessions has been pretty amazing at Guma’ Tasa. Students walk in not knowing what to expect or how they will actually paint on glass or ceramics. I see the nervousness in their eyes and get excited because I know when they leave my session they will have mastered the technique of painting on such an intimidating surface and how to use a paintbrush.
I teach this class out of pure enjoyment – I love sharing what I know about art and the different techniques, shortcuts, and experiences I’ve had as an artist. The more I teach the more I learn from others. Art is about being in the moment and feeding your soul. It’s taking the time to stop everything and say I’m going to be good to myself today. I’m going to learn something new and I’m going to challenge myself. There’s nothing like accomplishing something you’ve never done before. That feeling only adds confidence and love for yourself.
