Creating this website along with the blog has been a long time coming. I’ve spent the last few years with my husband buying a house, raising our two young children and working. It was challenging multitasking everything, so my husband and I took a BIG step back and realized that one of us had to be flexible, we had to get back to the basics of taking care of our family, our home along with our peace of mind. At the time I was working on a big project of my own and realized leaving my position as a Creative Manager at a local advertising agency would allow me to spend more time of my children, complete the project and start painting again and teaching. Art has been my constant love and has taken me to some of the most amazing countries – Bali, Indonesia where I learned how to sculpt with traditional tools and Italy where I learned to work in other mediums.
Since then I have been commissioned by GPA/GWA to create works of art for the new Gloria Nelson building, participated in a few art shows at the Guam Humanities Council in Hagåtña and finally finished a project – an interactive book for kids and adults called “Explore, Learn, and Color Guam” scheduled to be released in March. I am now working on a collection of paintings and very very happy that I am doing what I was meant to do with my life.
